What to Watch For This Summer

Coming off a 17-2 season and consecutive deep tournament runs, the 2026 Wildcats summer program is built on the same foundation: pressure defense that creates fast-break opportunities and an up-tempo offense that wears opponents down. The summer slate — with back-to-back game nights, the Seawolves Shootout, and the Old Orchard Beach Tournament — gives both JV and Varsity players meaningful reps against Class A and Class B competition. Watch for the defense-first identity that powered the 10-0 start in 2024–25 to carry over into the summer program.

Key Storylines from Last Season

  • Reece MacDonald’s 1,000-point milestone — A standout individual achievement that underscored the program’s sustained excellence at the top of Class B.
  • 10-0 start in 2024–25 — The Wildcats opened the season without dropping a game, setting the tone for a run all the way to the State Final.
  • Class B State Runner-up — York finished 21-1, won the regional title at Portland Expo, and played for a state championship in Bangor at the Cross Insurance Center — the program’s deepest playoff run in years.
Check Season Results for the full game-by-game scores from both the 2025–26 and 2024–25 seasons, and head to Game Schedule to plan your trips to the gym this summer.
